Tyler Carter discusses all things Issues, including former official keyboardist/programmer Ty “Scout” Acord. “He doesn’t want to be known as a live DJ in a rock band—that’s not what he wants to do,” Carter explains. “He’s happy doing what he’s doing and he still helps us write music and produce. From the beginning, he was supposed to be the Tom Denney to our A Day To Remember. He was supposed to be our Timberlake to Justin Timberlake.”

Scout has been there from the beginning it is a sad sight to see when a band member decides to leave. From an excerpt of a podcast Tyler did he said,”“As far as touring goes, Scout hadn’t been a part of the band for over a year. He doesn’t want to be known as a live DJ in a rock band—that’s not what he wants to do, He’s happy doing what he’s doing and he still helps us write music and produce. From the beginning, he was supposed to be the Tom Denney to our A Day To Remember. He was supposed to be our Timbalake to Justin Timberlake. We were supposed to have Issues the entity and Scout the producer, and it was supposed to go hand-in-hand. I just kind of manipulated and begged him to tour with us because it would be cool. So he did for a while. It’s back to the way it was meant to be from the beginning.” Sometimes you have to let things go, Scout was the most kind hearted man I have ever met, but sometimes you have to go off on your own.

Motörhead

Ian Fraser Kilmister, known as Lemmy, was an English musician, singer and songwriter who founded and fronted the rock band Motörhead. His music was one of the foundations of the heavy metal genre. He was known for his appearance and his distinctive gravelly voice. Alongside his music career, he also had many minor roles in film and television.

Monday December 28th, we lost a rock legend Lemmy. let me just say, he has been a huge part of my life and it is sad to see someone so full of like leave this world.

The band have shared an official statement through their Facebook page, which confirms the news.

There is no easy way to say this…our mighty, noble friend Lemmy passed away today after a short battle with an extremely aggressive cancer. He had learnt of the disease on December 26th, and was at home, sitting in front of his favorite video game from The Rainbow which had recently made it’s way down the street, with his family.”

On Motorheads official youtube page they released a statement

“We want you ALL to be a part of this memorial service.
So wherever you are, PLEASE get together and watch with fellow Motörheadbangers and friends. GO to your favorite bar, or your favorite club, make sure they have access to an internet connection and toast along with us.
Or simply invite your pals around and celebrate Lemm’s life at home.
Whatever your venue, and however you can, let’s be sure to gather globally on Saturday 9th and celebrate the life of our dear friend and irreplaceable icon.

There are no words for the loss of Lemmy. He was full hearted and put all his heart and soul into his work. For those who wish to send flowers or send a message to the band contact information has been released. may Lemmy rest in peace and forever be rocking.

Every Time I Die

Every Time I Die is an American metalcore band from Buffalo, New York, formed in 1998. Their musical style is rooted in technical hardcore punk with strong Southern rock and mathcore elements, and is also characterized by their literary, bitingly sarcastic lyrics. They have also garnered critical and fan acclaim for their high energy, intense live shows. The band announced on July 14, 2008 that they had left Ferret Music and signed with Epitaph. Their seventh studio album, From Parts Unknown, was released on July 1, 2014.

One unlucky fan learned the hard way why you should never take a selfie onstage at an Every Time I Die show: Aside from interrupting other concertgoers’ experiences and blocking their views, you will have your phone karate kicked out of your hand by guitarist Jordan Buckley. It will soar, magically, into the air before hitting the floor. Check out video of the kick below, and let us know your thoughts.

Buckely tweeted:

“Stage selfies = look at me look at me I didn’t get enough attention as a kid and can’t handle 5 people here getting more attention than me.” Now during most shows the band along with other bands ask all fans attending to put their phones away and live in the moment, and experience life for what it has to offer.

It means more to me than you’ll ever know.” You can read all of what he had to say below.

The Ghost Inside bassist James Riley has confirmed through his personal Facebook page that all members of the band are in stable condition.

“I’ve seen news reporting that some of the guys are in critical condition so I’d like to clarify a little bit,” he wrote. “Tim and I were at the hospital last night and spoke extensively with each of the guys nurses. They are all in very stable condition and their families are arriving today to be with them. They still very much need your love and support.”

On November 19, the Ghost Inside were involved in a fatal bus accident with an oncoming semi truck. The incident took place just a few miles east of the U.S. border patrol checkpoint on US 62/180. Various people had to be airlifted from the scene to nearby medical facilities.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help TGI and their families during this difficult time. There is also a separate GoFundMe to benefit the family of TGI’s deceased bus driver, Greg Hoke. if you can please go help and support the band in their time of need. All of our prayers go out to you guys.

Beartooth headmaster Caleb Shomo talks about his past, present and the band’s new album. On his time in Attack Attack!, he touched on his departure and the mentality he had at the time. “Well, obviously I quit Attack Attack! because I felt like it was a very unhealthy place for me. It was causing a lot of stress that was manifesting itself in all manner of mental health issues I was incredibly depressed and anxious. Obviously from there, I started writing the kind of songs I’m more known for now, songs that are a lot more honest, songs that work through with wording the things I have gone through. Honestly, writing that way has led me to a better place. I can honestly say that anyone that knew me then and knows me now sees a big change. I am comfortable with myself and genuinely happy on a daily basis. It’s awesome.”

He talks about how it was the second Beartooth song he ever wrote, and he did so the day before he quit Attack Attack!. https://soundcloud.com/leadsingersyndrome/episode-1-caleb-shomo-beartooth

Crown The Empire

Crown The Empire is an American post-hardcore/metalcore band formed in 2010 in Dallas, Texas. They have released  two full-length albums, and have toured extensively. Crown The Empire was formed in July 2010 by Andrew Velasquez, Austin Duncan, Hayden Tree, and Brandon Hoover during their time together at Colleyville Heritage High School. The band was formed when Brandon and Austin decided to start jamming together. The band’s ultimate goal was to be heavier than most bands in their area, while bringing huge, poppy choruses to a genre that can become pretty stale. Originally, drummer Alex Massey filled the drumming position in the band, but he was soon replaced by their current drummer, Brent Taddie in May 2011. During 2011, the members of Crown the Empire also held an extensive search for another guitarist to join their band. They soon welcomed Bennett Vogelman to the band as the new lead guitarist.

Guitarist Benn Vogelman has left the band due to internal dynamic differences. He played on both of Crown The Empire’s full length albums The Fallout (2012) and The Resistance Rise of The Runaways (2014). Official statement from the band, “Benn has chosen to leave Crown The Empire. While this might come as a shock to a lot of you, we as a band have known this was coming for quite some time. Every group has its internal dynamic, and for Benn, he eventually realized that he wanted to explore other opportunities outside of that. Although we’re sad to see him go, we wish him all the best”

Benn has been with the band for so long now. It is sad to see him leave right before their tour too, but he will be missed. thousands hope to see him again doing something he really loves.

Born Of Osiris

Born of Osiris is an American deathcore band, formed in 2003 in Palatine, a suburb of Chicago by Ronnie Canizaro, Cameron Losch, Joe Buras, David Da Rocha, and Lee McKinney. The group underwent several name changes, including, Your Heart Engraved, and Rosecrance, before finally settling on Born of Osiris in 2007, basing the name on the Egyptian deity Osiris, and the tale of his son Horus.

Through out the summer Born Of Osiris was sharing a larg portion of there new album Soul Sphere, bit by bit. Due to the guitarists (Lee McKinney) foot surguery, the band had to drop their tour. Lee and the rest of Born Of Osiris shared the following post on Facebook:

“Thanks for all the love and support you guys have been sending regarding a speedy recovery. My foot was not only dislocated, it was broken/fractured in multiple spots. Surgery was a success. As soon as I get a hard boot on this foot, even though the doctors aren’t recommending it – I plan on being out there jamming in a wheelchair on stage Dave Ghrol style! Trust me there’s nowhere else I’d rather be.” – Lee McKinney / BOO

“We will be off tour until further notice and will be not be attending Knotfest tomorrow. We will be back as soon as Lee is tour ready, playing more tracks off our new record.
Thanks guys
-BOO”

On their new record’s conceptual framework, keyboardist Joe Buras explains, “The whole story of the record involves three levels. The first one is The Binding. You’re hanging, and you’re stagnant. The second is The Fight. You were hanging, but now you’re pulling away from this linchpin, whether it’s physical, emotional, or spiritual. The final is The Release. You break away and feel free, connected, and loved.”

Blink-182

Blink-182 is an American rock band formed in Poway, a suburb of San Diego, California in 1992. The band currently consists of bassist and vocalist Mark Hoppus, drummer Travis Barker, and guitarist and vocalist Matt Skiba. Blink-182 is considered a key group in the development of pop punk. Founded by Hoppus, guitarist and vocalist Tom DeLonge, and drummer Scott Raynor, the band emerged from the Southern California punk scene of the early 1990s and first gained notoriety for high energy live shows and irreverent lyrical toilet humor.

Bassist Mark Hoppus has been using Instagram to tease Blink-182’s next chapter. Recording began in August. “We’re just getting started but I think we’ve got like four or five songs right now that I’m really, really happy with. There’s a song called ‘Punk Rock Cliché’ which I love the most right now. It’s about friends of ours and their relationships.” Its always sad to see a band member that we all have loved and grew up with leave the band.

photo

Despite seeming to be moving along steadily in the recording process, Barker says there is no timeline for new Blink. “The goal here is to come up with an album and just write,” he adds. “We don’t put a limit on how many songs we’re going to write. [We just] Write a bunch of songs and when we feel like there’s an album ready, there’s an album ready. You know, no pressure, no deadlines.”
